The subject of the project is to create a R & D Centre in BGW. The main objective of the Centre is to develop and introduce new categories of biomass-based products to the company’s offer. These categories include: 1. Product category of yeast biomass (product: organic yeast), 2. Category of yeast products as a biocatalyst (product: organic acids and yeasts as biocatalysts in the production of continuous ethyl alcohol), 3. Category of nutritional yeast products (products: selenium yeast, yeast with amino acids). In addition, the Centre will provide services to third parties in the form of project development for such entities. Due to the use of many uses of biotechnology, including biochemical production, the Centre will carry out projects concerning the development of biological products from renewable food resources and other renewable resources. The main innovative technologies developed at the Centre will be: 1. Development and implementation of specially modified classical genetic techniques for yeast screening. 2. Development of methods for selecting yeast and bacterial strains. 3. Development of a stress-dependent yeast culture and raising platform. 4. Przedmiotem projektu jest stworzenie Centrum B+R w firmie BGW. Głównym celem Centrum jest opracowanie i wprowadzenie do oferty firmy nowych kategorii produktów niewytwarzanych do tej pory opartych na biomasie. Do tych kategorii zaliczamy: 1. Kategoria produktów biomasy drożdżowej (produkt: drożdże ekologiczne), 2. Kategoria produktów z drożdżami w roli biokatalizatora (produkt: kwasy organiczne oraz drożdże jako biokatalizatory w produkcji ciągłej alkoholu etylowego), 3. Kategoria produktów drożdży odżywczych (produkty: drożdże z selenem, drożdże z aminokwasami). Ponadto w stworzonym centrum świadczone będą usługi dla podmiotów zewnętrznych w postaci opracowywania projektów dla takich podmiotów. Ze względu na wykorzystanie wielu zastosowań biotechnologii, w tym produkcji biochemicznej, Centrum będzie realizować projekty dotyczące rozwoju produktów biologicznych z odnawialnych zasobów żywności i innych odnawialnych zasobów. Głównymi innowacyjnymi technologiami opracowanymi w Centrum będą: 1. Opracowanie i wdrożenie specjalnie zmodyfikowanych technik genetyki klasycznej do badań przesiewowych drożdży. 2. Opracowanie metod wyboru drożdży i szczepów bakteryjnych. 3. Opracowanie platformy hodowli i podnoszenia szczepu drożdży zależnych od stresu. 4. Opracowanie platformy bioprocesyjnej i fermentacyjnej w laboratoriach. 5. Opracowanie i wdrożenie standardowych (Polish)
