The aim of the project is to implement in ABATEC the technology of combining and securing wooden structures and launching on the basis of the production of significantly improved products – modular second generation wooden garden pools with increased resistance to biotic, atmospheric and photolytic ageing. The implemented technology is a non-patented technical knowledge developed on the basis of the company’s previous experience, its know-how and research activities carried out in cooperation with the Wood Technology Institute in Poznań. As a result of the investment project, new fixed assets will be purchased, which will be integrated into the current production facilities, thus enabling the implementation of the new technology, resulting in a fundamental change in the existing production process. This will increase the company’s production potential and its assets in quantitative and financial terms, which will have a positive impact on the level of innovation and quality of the products offered. The new technology of modular connections and 3-step protection of the wood structure will increase the quality and resistance of the wooden elements of the basin structure, making them immune to biotic factors, especially the development of mould caused by shrew fungi (move fungi) and atmospheric factors. This feature is a key element of the implemented technology, as it will also allow container shipping of pool elements to, among others, wet tropical zones. Until now it was impossible, because wooden elements transported in container conditions (variable hygrothermal conditions) were exposed to the development of mold and packaging of the structure. As a result, the company will offer on the market an improved product – characterised by facilitated logistics and increased resilience during external use, which will ensure a longer life cycle of the product compared to currently offered on the market.
