The subject of the project is the implementation of product innovation – APEG regranulate (Antimacrobial Poliethylene Granules). As a result of the research and development, an internationally innovative technology for processing polyethylene obtained from recycling was developed, allowing for much better physico-chemical and functional properties of the final product, which was confirmed by validation tests carried out at the Rzeszów University of Technology. The research was aimed at eliminating the basic technological problems related to the currently available polyethylene regranulats (limited mechanical, thermal, odour absorption and antibacterial properties). The technology for producing APEG regranulate, resulting from R & D work carried out, was covered by the patent application P.423543 entitled. Method of enrichment of polymer composites. As a result of the project, product innovation will be introduced, thanks to which the assortment structure of the company will be expanded. By placing on the market a substantially altered product, which is technologically distinct and of performance against the background of competition offering similar products, which will form part of the product range guaranteeing an increase in sales levels both on the domestic and international markets.
