The quantum facade system will consist of: —passive construction of aluminium profiles -active shaft and photovoltaic packages -integrated energy management system. The Quantum facade is a BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) solution that provides a zero energy balance for the building, thanks to the use of passive profiles, active packages based on transparent photovoltaic cells and heating cells. The facade system will enable the generation of electricity using photovoltaics. Energy will be used to heat the inner glass in winter, supply the ventilation system and air conditioning in summer. The research problem is the lack in the current state of technology of integrated facade systems (a system of faithful photovoltaic panels integrated into an active package mounted directly in an aluminium profile without additional constructions) to achieve a zero energy balance of the building. Numer_referencyjny_programu_pomocowego: SA.41471(2015/X) Przeznaczenie_pomocy_publicznej: art. 25 rozporządzenia KE nr 651/2014 z dnia 17 czerwca 2014 r. uznające niektóre rodzaje pomocy za zgodne z rynkiem wewnętrznym w stosowaniu art. 107 i 108 Traktatu (Dz. Urz. UE L 187/1 z 26.06.2014). Celem projektu jest opracowanie nowej generacji zeroenergetycznego systemu fasadowego KWANTUM, w pełni zintegrowanego z aktywnym pakietem szybowo - fotowoltaicznym oraz systemem zarządzania energią. System fasadowy KWANTUM będzie składał się z: -pasywnej konstrukcji profili aluminiowych -aktywnych pakietów szybowo – fotowoltaicznych -zintegrowanego systemu zarządzania energią. Fasada KWANTUM stanowi rozwiązanie BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics), które zapewnia zerowy bilans energetyczny dla budynku, możliwy dzięki zastosowaniu pasywnych profili, aktywnych pakietów opartych o przezierne ogniwa fotowoltaiczne oraz ogniw grzewczych. System fasadowy umożliwi generowanie energii elektrycznej wykorzystującej fotowoltaikę. Energia posłuży do ogrzewania szyby wewnętrznej w zimie, zasilania systemu wentylacji i klimatyzacji w lecie. Problemem badawczym jest brak w obecnym stanie techniki zintegrowanych systemów fasadowych (system przeziernych paneli fotowoltaicznych zintegrowanych w aktywny pakiet mocowany bezpośrednio w profilu aluminiowym bez dodatkowych konstrukcji), pozwalających osiągnąć zerowy bilans energetyczny budynku.
