‘Aid programme reference number: SA.42799(2015/X), help_de_minimis: §42 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure and Development of 10 July 2015 on the granting by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development financial assistance under the Operational Programme Intelligent Development 2014-2020" The subject of the project are small hydro power plants up to 1 MW, mainly using an induction machine as a generator and various types of water turbines. Due to the difficult and costly process of identifying the operating parameters of these objects and periodically changing hydrological and hydraulic properties, they are usually suboptimally controlled. This results in low energy conversion efficiency, which translates into a weak economic effect of the power plant. This project aims to improve the efficiency of this type of power plant by optimising control parameters. The main result of the project should be the procedure for identifying optimal control for the selected MEW object with an induction generator. An important element will be the method of developing measurement data in order to automatically determine the optimal work curve. The innovation of this solution will consist of the use of advanced techniques for processing and analysing measurement data to eliminate measurement errors and to shorten the duration of the necessary measurements.
