The subject of the project is the purchase from the selected Contractor of a service consisting of carrying out R & D works on the development of a significant improvement of the existing product – the SZD-56-2 Diana 2 glider through its integration with the FES electric drive unit (Front Electric Selflaunch/Sustainer propulsion system). A measurable effect of the project will therefore be a product innovation in the form of a new quality high-performance glider equipped with drive. An improved glider will be the first, and thus unrivaled, product of this type in our country and even in the world. It should be emphasised that as a result of the project, a product will be created which will be characterised by a set of features and functionalities which no other glider currently available will have. As a result of the implementation of the Project, the applicant will be given the opportunity to start production and thus to market a new version of his product. This will allow for new customers and expansion into new markets. The contractor will be able to increase production and generate new jobs in the region. The project fits well with the global trends in the glider market, where a significant increase in safety of use in competitive and recreational flying, through the use of auxiliary propulsion, prompts an increasing number of customers to buy gliders and realise their dreams and ambitions. Numer_referencyjny_programu_pomocowego: SA.42799(2015/X), pomoc_de_minimis: §42 rozporządzenia Ministra Infrastruktury i Rozwoju z dnia 10 lipca 2015 r. w sprawie udzielania przez Polską Agencję Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości pomocy finansowej w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Inteligentny Rozwój 2014–2020. Przedmiotem projektu jest zakup od wybranego Wykonawcy usługi polegającej na przeprowadzeniu prac B+R nad opracowaniem znaczącego ulepszenia istniejącego wyrobu - szybowca SZD-56-2 Diana 2 poprzez jego integrację z elektrycznym zespołem napędowym FES (Front Electric Selflaunch/Sustainer propulsion system). Wymiernym efektem realizacji projektu będzie więc innowacja produktowa w postaci nowej jakości szybowca wyczynowego wyposażonego w napęd. Ulepszony szybowiec będzie pierwszym, a więc bezkonkurencyjnym produktem tego typu w naszym kraju, a nawet na świecie. Należy podkreślić, że w wyniku realizacji projektu powstanie produkt, który odznaczać się będzie zestawem cech i funkcjonalności, których nie będzie posiadać żaden inny dostępny obecnie szybowiec. W efekcie realizacji Projektu Wnioskodawca uzyska możliwość rozpoczęcia produkcji, a tym samym wprowadzenia na rynek nowej wersji swojego wyrobu. Pozwoli to na pozyskanie nowych klientów i ekspansję na nowe rynki zbytu. Wykonawca będzie mógł zwiększyć produkcję co wygeneruje nowe miejsca pracy w regionie. Projekt świetnie wpisuje się w światowe trendy na rynku szybowcowym, gdzie znaczące podniesienie poziomu bezpieczeństwa użytkowania w lataniu zawodniczym i rekreacyjnym, przez zastosowanie napędu pomocniczego, skłania coraz większą grupę klientów do zakupu szybowców i realizacji swoich marzeń i ambicji.
