The aim of the project is to create a bolus based on the properties of essential oils affecting the microflora of rumen improving health parameters (PH stabilisation and SARA risk reduction) and cow production in terms of milk efficiency and milk parameters. Subclinical ruminant acidosis (SARA), is a metabolic (productive) disease occurring when the rumen’s pH falls below 5.6 over a period of more than 3 hours per day. Its occurrence should be seen as a metabolic disorder of an entire herd or a large number of individuals rather than individual animals. The presence of acidosis is associated with a number of factors which include too much supply of easily digestible carbohydrates, too long between feedings, too little supply of fibre in feed. At present, SARA is a very common phenomenon with such a high production of animals. As a result, fermentation processes are temporarily impaired, resulting in a significant decrease in productivity and health. A number of laboratory, production and field tests will be carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the prepared preparations. The final result will be the development by Over of a significantly improved product in the form of a bolus with prolonged release of essential oils, thanks to which breeders will be able to obtain better production and health results of their cows. We assume that the use of the product developed will improve cow health in terms of reducing SARA risk and heat stress and will have a positive impact on cows’ milk efficiency and (English) | |||||||||||||||

Numer_referencyjny_programu_pomocowego: SA.41471(2015/X) Przeznaczenie_pomocy_publicznej: art. 25 rozporządzenia KE nr 651/2014 z dnia 17 czerwca 2014 r. uznające niektóre rodzaje pomocy za zgodne z rynkiem wewnętrznym w stosowaniu art. 107 i 108 Traktatu (Dz. Urz. UE L 187/1 z 26.06.2014). Efektem końcowym będzie opracowanie przez Over znacząco ulepszonego produktu w postaci bolusa o przedłużonym uwalnianiu olejków eterycznych, dzięki któremu hodowcy będą mogli uzyskiwać lepsze wyniki produkcyjne i zdrowotne swoich krów.
