The aim of the Project is to develop and prepare for the implementation of innovative butadiene rubber (BR) in the world. The innovativeness of the project involves the use of a specially designed functional compound in the polymerisation process, capable of forming covalent bonds with a filler of vulcanisation mixture (silicon). The functional union has been developed as part of its own research work in Synthos SA and is the subject of two patent applications with the EUP. Its ability to improve the interaction of the polymer – the filler was verified by application tests on a laboratory scale. The project envisages the construction of a demonstration installation to obtain a function union with a capacity of 250 t/year (Zad. 1. As part of the Zad. 2-3, using a demonstration installation, a butadiene rubber with a low isomeric structure will be developed. In the Zad. 4, based on the data collected in Zad. 1-3 and with the use of a functional compound derived from the demonstration installation for its synthesis, tests will be carried out for the production of modified butadiene rubbers on an industrial scale. Rubber obtained on a semi-technical and technical scale will be subjected to full validation in the internal laboratory and potential recipients. The new BR will be used for the production of tyres, which will significantly improve their performance – reduced fuel consumption, increased adhesion to wet surfaces and extended life, which will directly translate into economics and driving safety. Thanks to the increased glazing temperature compared to butadiene rubber produced by coordination polymerisation, the new rubber will also be used in competitive tyres. Celem Projektu jest opracowanie i przygotowanie do wdrożenia innowacyjnego w skali światowej funkcjonalizowanego kauczuku butadienowego (BR). Innowacyjność Projektu polega na użyciu w procesie polimeryzacji specjalnie zaprojektowanego związku funkcyjnego, zdolnego do tworzenia wiązań kowalencyjnych z napełniaczem mieszanki wulkanizacyjnej (krzemionką). Dzięki podwyższonej temperaturze zeszklenia w stosunku do kauczuków butadienowych wytwarzanych w procesie polimeryzacji koordynacyjnej, nowy kauczuk będzie miał zastosowanie również w oponach wyczynowych.
