THE AIM OF THE PROJECT IS THE USE OF HIGH AND HIGH POTENTIAL TECHNOLOGIES IN BOTH THE SHORT AND THE MEDIUM TO LONG TERM TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE TRANSIT TOWARDS A RELIABLE, SUSTAINABLE AND COMPETITIVE ENERGY SYSTEM, IN TIMES OF INCREASING SCARCITY OF RESOURCES, INCREASING ENERGY NEEDS AS WELL AS CLIMATE CHANGE. ACTIVITIES SHALL FOCUS ON INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENTAL DEVELOPMENT OF NEW CONCEPTS, TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS, MORE EFFICIENT COMPONENTS, AND ON TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS WITH IN-BUILT INTELLIGENCE, WHICH MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO KNOW IN REAL TIME ENERGY MANAGEMENT OF NEAR-ZERO EMISSIONS BUILDINGS, THE USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGIES FOR HEATING AND COOLING AND THE REALISATION OF HIGHLY EFFICIENT THERMAL AND ELECTRIC SYSTEMS. THE PROJECT IS DIVIDED INTO ACTIVITIES WHICH, THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF THE MICROELECTRONICS, ADVANCED MATERIALS AND ADVANCED MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS, DEVELOP NEW CONCEPTS. (English)
