"Celem projektu jest rozwój obecnego Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowego poprzez budowę nowego budynku przeznaczonego w całości dla Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowego z pomieszczeniami laboratoryjnymi, warsztatowymi i stanowiskami pracy dla kadry badawczej oraz zakup nowego wyposażenia badawczego. W budynku będzie zlokalizowane Centrum Prototypów i Laboratorium Walidacyjne umożliwiające budowę i testowanie prototypów układów kierowniczych przystosowanych do pojazdów autonomicznych o poziomach autonomiczności 2-5 (SAE J3016). W budynku będą zlokalizowane również stanowiska pracy dla około 250 pracowników B+R. W wyniku realizacji Agendy badawczej powstaną innowacje produktowe polegające na opracowaniu innowacyjnego układu kierowniczego o znacznie podniesionym poziomie niezawodności, posiadającego nowe na rynku cechy funkcjonalne i o istotnie podniesionych parametrach mechanicznych do zastosowanie w pojazdach z napędem spalinowym, elektrycznym i mieszanym o poziomach autonomiczności 2-5."
