THE BROTWEG PROJECT AIMS TO DEVELOP RADICAL AND INCREMENTAL INNOVATIONS FOR CEREAL CULTIVATION IN EXTREME MOUNTAIN SETTINGS, WITH VERY HIGH SLOPES (70 %) IN WHICH CEREALS ARE NOW BEING DRIED OUT OF ALL FORMS OF MECHANISATION, RESULTING IN THE HIGH DEMAND FOR LABOUR. THE NEED TO IDENTIFY NEW MODELS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE MOUNTAIN AGRICULTURE, WHICH IS COMPLEMENTARY TO THE PREVAILING ZOOTECHNICAL FEATURES TODAY, IN THE CONTEXT OF THE FIRST ALTERNATIVE THAN THE ALTERNATIVE OF THIS ZONE, WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN LAID DOWN IN THE CASE OF THIS ALTERNATIVE, IN THE INTERESTS OF LABOUR REDUCTION AND ANNUAL WORKLOAD, INVESTMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS, THAN THAT OF THIS ZONE, AS OPPOSED TO THIS BECOMES AN ALTERNATIVE TO THIS SECTOR OF THE CEAALY-LATTE-FORMAISARITY (FISENO-LATTE-FORMAGGIO). BUT THE CEREAL SECTOR FIRST REQUIRES SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS THAT HINDER THE ADOPTION OF SUITABLE TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS FOR FIELD MECHANISATION AND STORAGE IN SMALL MASI.\ NTHE PROJECT, THEREFORE, ENVISAGES THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROTOT.
