    Project area is characterized by a weak connectivity and insufficient communication networks which hamper the cross-border contacts, impede transit traffic, and in consequence cripple the attractiveness for investors and tourists. Importantly, a significant part of the road infrastructure important for borderland accessibility still remains rundown. Overall objective is: Increase of welfare and development of the Polish – Belarusian border regions through improved accessibility, tourism attractiveness, cooperation links and joint sustainable transport management. Project aims at fostering the borderland transport sector. The sector of a primary character in relation to investment in capital goods for economic activity. Thus, Project is an important factor stimulating social welfare and development of the border area. Through improvement of transport infrastructure complementary to regional and transboundary transportation networks, established cross-border partnership – network for transport governance, joint workshops, surveys and feasibility studies, developed “Integrated Strategy for Cross-border Transport Governance” and internet platform for sustainable transport governance network Project makes borderland area more accessible, safe and convenient for streams of passenger traffic, public services, tourists and inhabitants. Through promotion and development of eco-friendly solutions and establishment of long-term cooperation network for cross-border transport governance Project significantly influences sustainable transport development. Partners jointly outlined Project activities which will be carried out together or at least simultaneously. Achievement of most of the Project outputs (strategy, network, analyzes) requires close cooperation between the Partners and is not possible without it.
