Przedmiotem projektu jest rewitalizacja budynku zabytkowej gorzelni zlokalizowanej w Kochcicach. Gorzelnia wchodzi w skład zabudowań pałacowych w początku XX wieku. W ramach inwestycji planowany jest remont budynku gorzelni i jego adaptacja na cele społeczne gospodarcze i kulturalne. Projekt obejmuje również odrestaurowanie i uruchomienie maszyny parowej wraz z pozostałymi urządzeniami gorzelni w celu demonstracji (z użyciem wody) procesów fizycznych, chemicznych i biologicznych dzieciom i młodzieży. Docelowo planowane jest włączenie gorzelni do szlaku zabytków techniki województwa śląskiego. W ujęciu funkcjonalnym zrewitalizowana gorzelnia ma pełnić funkcję edukacyjną, kulturalną, społeczną i być siedzibą spółdzielni socjalnej utworzonej dla mieszkańców rewitalizowanego obszaru Gminy Kochanowice. As part of the investment, it is planned to renovate the distillery building and adapt it for economic and cultural purposes. The project also includes the restoration and launching of a steam machine with other distillery equipment to demonstrate (with water) physical, chemical and biological processes for children and adolescents. It is intended that distilleries are planned to be included in the centre of monuments of the Silesian Region. In functional terms, the revamped distillery is intended to serve as educational, cultural and social purpose and to be the seat of the social cooperative set up for the inhabitants of the regenerated area of Kochanowice.
