Motýli jsou velmi dobrou modelovou bioindikační skupinou a jsou proto využíváni v řadě ekologických studií hodnotících stav dochovaného přírodního prostředí a stupeň jeho ovlivnění člověkem. V rámci projektu se zaměřujeme na noční motýli, přičemž získáme první ucelené základy pro systematické hodnocení dopadů lidské činnosti a klimatických změn na noční motýly v Krkonoších, jako na modelovou skupinu organismů.
