The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of the environment and living conditions of residents in the Niedźwiada Commune by increasing the use of renewable energy in individual residential buildings. As part of it, 215 photovoltaic installations will be installed in private houses of the municipality residents, including: — of a power of 2.17 KW: 100 pieces (95 on the roof, 5 on the ground), — with a power of 3.1 KW: 55 pieces (on the roof 44, on the ground: 11), — with a power of 4.34 KW: 60 pieces (37 on the roof, 23 on the ground). There will also be 220 solar installations, including: — two-plate: 177 pieces (164 on the roof, 13 on the ground) — three-plate: 43 pieces (38 on the roof, 5 on the ground). 25 biomass furnaces will also be installed. As a result of the project, additional renewable energy generation capacity will be: 2.09 MW, including for electricity: 0.65 MW and heat energy: 1.44 MW. The production of electricity from newly built RES installations will amount to 615.50 MWhe/year, and heat energy will amount to 984.65 MWht/year. The estimated annual decrease in greenhouse gas emissions will be 876.93 Mg. The project will be useful to project stakeholders. The municipality will be the owner of a new RES infrastructure that will improve the quality of the municipal services provided. Project participants will use installations located in residential facilities, which will reduce maintenance costs and save time. For all stakeholders of the project, it will be important to reduce the amount of harmful substances in the air. By reducing “low” emissions from household furnaces, in particular PM10, the project contributes to the objectives of the “Air Quality Programme for the Lublin Zone” (it has been classified as zone C and therefore obliged to develop the Programme). Produkcja energii elektrycznej z nowo wybudowanych instalacji wykorzystujących OZE wyniesie 615,50 MWhe/rok, a energii cieplnej 984,65 MWht/rok. Szacowany roczny spadek emisji gazów cieplarnianych wyniesie 876,93 Mg.
