The lakes are a fundamental resource for the insubric area, the quality of their waters must be protected from the growing risks due to anthropic pressure and climate change. The main objective of the project is to support decision-making and the definition of management policies through an advanced information system based on data from innovative monitoring systems (automatic, diversified, low cost and high spatial and temporal resolution) .The system will also make it possible to identify, using a common methodology in the two countries, possible criticality in a prompt and quick manner. The production of guidelines on future challenges that the large subalpine lakes are called to face is expected.
