They are defense systems that are based on the natural coastal defense features. The projects carries out: - a Territorial information System using a GIS features on all Italian and Maltese PB and for each of them an analisys of the actual situation in terms of anthropic pressure, both urban and touristic. - a surveillance system of all all Italian and Maltese PB through aerial images and shots captured by laser scanner (LIDAR) that will allow to update the terrestrial and submarine map and set up a remote monitoring plan able to release images and data every 15 minutes. Through a color and shaping recognition software, it will be possible to have information on both the morphological and the environmental variation of the PBs. - a coastal management model for PBs: a user manual for public administrations in charge of drawning up the coastal management of the PBs and n. 2 management plans on two sample locations.
