The aim of the project is to increase employment in self-employment, micro-enterprises and start-ups with the aim of increasing the growth of micro-enterprises in traditional crafts and design, and to contribute to better conditions for start-ups in the sector. The focus is on the craft sector as there is a clear upward trend among the general public, companies and other industries to demand and consume more sustainable experiences and products of high quality with cultural history and local roots. Therefore, the overall goal of the project is to increase the craftsmen’s knowledge in business development, product development and marketing, which is made possible in 3 sub-goals: 1. Product development through cultural heritage and tradition: With the collections of Den Gamle By and the Museum of Regions, artisans can develop products and brands by linking the company to cultural history and traditional craftsmanship. Cultural heritage can provide history around the company (storytelling) or link the business to a specific location or take up the production of older designs. The museums are also meeting places and venues for exposure of companies’ activities, products and services. 3. Method development for effective and structured business development within the Cultural and Creative Industries (KKN): GE-nominal to apply and further develop the previous concept Economuseé Artisans at Work® together with CraftGrowth (pre-project 2019), Craft Go helps craftsmen to become attractive and sustainable destinations. In the 2019 pre-project, a prototype was developed into a process: Craft Growth: the modular development strategy in 5 modules: 1.Innovative Hour Plan 2.Commerce Strategy 3.Storytelling 4.Product Development 5.Inspiration Each company is offered a skills development package containing 1-5 modules according to its specific needs. Economuseé Artisans at Work® is a license and registered trademark that brings craftsmanship to life through 6 criteria that link the company to experience tourism and increased employment due to increased operations. Economuseé wants to grow with innovation, product and business development and cultural history and is therefore part of Craft Go. Economuseé and CraftGrowth are 2 different activities where Economuseé is a step further from a business development perspective than CraftGrowth, as it takes more time and economy for a company to become an Economuseé than to participate in CraftGrowth. However, Economuseé and CraftGrowth interact with their respective content that is beneficial to both. In practice, this is done by companies selected for Economuseé also taking part in CraftGrowth. 3.
