The challenge of this project is to maintain and develop employment growth in areas and situations of industrial and economic crisis, through the creation of shared services to support the relocation of laid-off workers (experimenting with management/workers buyout and spin-offs in the cross-border chains indicated by the programme). The general objective is to put into action common paths of outplacement support, through the experimentation and application of shared tools and action models based on management/workers buyout, spin-offs and the creation of new businesses. The outcome will be standard methodologies to identify the characteristics of the managers/workers requiring relocation and services for supporting cooperation area workers to be relocated in the priority supply chains. Action tools and models: Data bank of professional and structural resources (machines, equipment, plants, industrial areas and warehouses), available after crises, also a local marketing prerequisite. The project’s cross-border and innovative approach addresses the crisis affecting the programme area and the insufficient efforts made by domestic partners, public bodies first of all, with dedicated economic development and employment policy tools (as in Tuscany’s management/workers buyout initiatives. Organising experiences, together with project outcomes and exchanges of good practices among public policymakers, justifies the union of the forces at play and the cross-border approach, an innovative element even in this area of interest. The project will offer more opportunities and development resources fit for broader markets. (English)
