The aim of the demonstration project is to achieve sustainable reduction of landfilled waste and to increase the share of recycled waste by introducing an educational program for children in kindergartens and students in initial training on the territory of Karlovo Municipality. The following specific objectives are set out: 1) Encouraging students and households to apply different measures and methods that lead to waste prevention; 2) Ensuring support and encouragement of the school community to real activities related to environmental protection and specific separate waste collection, composting, re-use; 3) Formation of ecological culture in the school community — students, parents, teachers. The activities: Activity 1. Preparation of the project. Activity 2. Implementation of a demonstration project. Activity 3. Campaigns to promote the results of the project. Activity 4. Organisation and management of the project. Activity 5. Information and communication. The activities envisaged in the demonstration project are formulated in line with the objectives set for implementation in Article 31(1) of the Waste Management Act and Target 1 for reducing the harmful impact of waste by preventing their formation and encouraging their re-use of the National Waste Prevention Programme of the National Waste Management Plan. As a result of the implementation of the demonstration project, the following long-term results are expected to be achieved: —Reduce the amount of municipal waste by preventing the generation of waste; Increase the share of separately collected waste. The target group of the project includes a total of 4470 children kindergartens and primary school students from Karlovo Municipality. The teachers involved in the implementation of the activities will be 40 teachers in 8 kindergartens and 12 schools selected under the project. (English) | |||||||||||||||

Целта на демонстрационния проект е свързана с постигане на устойчиво намаляване на депонираните отпадъци и увеличаване на дела на рециклираните отпадъци чрез въвеждане на образователна програма за децата в детските градини и учениците в начален курс на обучение на територията на Община Карлово. Формулирани са следните специфични цели: 1) Насърчаване на учениците и домакинствата да прилагат различни мерки и методи, които да доведат до предотвратяване образуването на отпадъците; 2) Осигуряване на подкрепа и насърчаване на училищната общност към реални дейности, свързани с опазването на околната среда и конкретно разделно събиране на отпадъци, компостиране, повторна употреба; 3) Формиране на екологична култура в училищната общност – ученици, родители, учители. Дейностите: Дейност 1. Подготовка на проекта. Дейност 2. Изпълнение на демонстрационен проект. Дейност 3. Кампании за популяризиране на резултатите от проекта. Дейност 4. Организация и управление на проекта. Дейност 5. Информация и комуникация. Предвидените дейности в демонстрационния проект са формулирани в синхрон със заложените за изпълнение целите в чл. 31, ал. 1 от Закона за управление на отпадъците и Цел 1 за намаляване на вредното въздействие на отпадъците чрез предотвратяване образуването им и насърчаване на повторното им използване на Национална програма за предотвратяване на образуването на отпадъци от Националния план за управление на отпадъците. В резултат на изпълнението на демонстрационния проект се очаква да бъдат постигнати следните дългосрочни резултати: - Намаляване на количеството на битовите отпадъци, посредством предотвратяване генерирането на отпадъци; - Увеличаване на дела на разделно събраните отпадъци. Целевата група по проекта включва общо 4470 деца детски градини и ученици в начален курс на обучение от община Карлово. Учителите, въвлечени в изпълнението на дейностите ще бъдат 40 преподаватели в 8 детски градини и 12 училища, които са избрани по проекта. (Bulgarian)
