The ViaRhôna route is currently provisionally using departmental roads on the communes of Virignin in the department of Ain and La Balme in the department of Savoie. This route is not safe for cyclists due to the importance of road traffic and the physical constraints of the site with three tunnels and a bridge to cross. The operation led by the Savoie department consists of building a bridge crossing the Rhône between the communes of Virignin and La Balme and creating three hundred metres of cycle path. Thus these achievements will give effect to the ViaRhôna route in this territory. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(French)
