The mill industry is closely linked to the history of Tata, known as the “City of Waters”, and the English Garden is one of the city’s most unique tourist attractions. Bearing in mind the rich cultural and industrial historical heritage, the municipality decided that in the third phase of the rehabilitation of the Angolkert, the Jenő-mill and milludvara, the area of the old Kristály bath, and the restoration of artificial ruins using the ruins of the church of Vétesszentkereszti, built at the beginning of the 19th century, will be refurbished and used for tourist purposes (hrsz. 3304/12). Thus, in addition to the final step of the rehabilitation of the English Garden, with the creation of the Malomkert in Angolkert, the memories of the millary life of Tata can be visited in the framework of a cultural and tourist attraction, enriched with experience elements and meeting the requirements of the 21st century. The aim of the project is to present a cultural attraction based on local conditions that offers a multi-day program for all ages, either on its own or in conjunction with the other attractions of the English park and the surrounding area, or with other tourist attractions of Tata, thus strengthening the city’s tourist attraction and shaping the urban image. The development of 3.1.1. A) a) The creation of new attractiveness building on the cultural features of the region, the development of existing ones, is set up in the framework of a self-eligible action, and is also in line with the objectives of the call: it makes it possible to increase the stay of tourists travelling to the region and helps to reduce the seasonality of the county, district and city tourism. It should also be emphasised that the development creates weather-independent, target group-specific supply elements, which are made interesting by interactive presentations. The development is part of the thematic offers defined in the tourism programme of the Komárom-Esztergom County Regional Development Strategy and Operational Programme, which is part of the complex tourism offer measure (2.2). As a result of the development, a number of multiplier effects occur. On the one hand, the investment will increase the number of tourists arriving in the area, thereby increasing the revenue of enterprises specialising in tourism services. At the same time, tourists also use other services and buy products, thereby contributing to the increase in income for other businesses. As revenues increase, the business tax paid by businesses increases. On the other hand, the growing demand for tourism through the tourism tax also represents an additional source of revenue for the municipality. Development contributes directly and indirectly to job creation and preservation. Based on the development concept, the former Crystal Bath (hrsz. 3305/2, 3305/4) and the Jenő Mill (hrs. 3305/10). The English garden is connected to the Queen Elizabeth Square by a new promenade (hrsz. 3305/8), thus ensuring interoperability. A new reception building will be built at the entrance, in which souvenirs, packed food and drinks will be available in addition to the entrance tickets. As a continuation of the building, a pergola row will be created at the place of the previous changing room. In the case of the Jenő mill with historic protection, thermal insulation will be placed on the building, the floor covering will be restored, as well as the original mill structure, on which test grindings can be carried out. In order to operate the mill wheel and ensure the supply of water from the Angel’s source on a gravitational channel (hrsz. 3306/8) water enters the mills. All the premises of the building will become part of the exhibition. In the interior, central room, an interactive space will allow you to learn about the internal operation and workflows of the Tata mills. The gallery will be suitable for museum pedagogical activities. Arriving from the Malomkert to the miller’s flat on the ground floor, we can get to the free chimney kitchen first. In the room to the right of the entrance, you will be able to project a film about the daily life of the millers. Permanent exhibition elements will be exposed, on the one hand, during the Malomkert pergola and, on the other hand, in the interactive space created on the premises of the Jenő Mill. Innovative services include Wi-Fi points, interactive maps of Tata mills with smart lighting and VR glasses. The Visitors’ Centre awaits visitors all year round, including on Sundays and public holidays (Sunday: Monday). The main target groups for development are families and school age groups. The main target group is the domestic, intra- and extra-regional guests, but in the alternative, foreign target groups are also present. As a result of the development, it is expected to increase the number of visitors and revenues from tourism, and to reduce the time and spatial concentration of local tourism.

A fejlesztés a 3.1.1. A) a) A térség kulturális adottságaira építő új vonzerők létrehozása, meglévők fejlesztése elnevezésű, önállóan támogatható tevékenység keretében jön létre, egyúttal illeszkedik a felhívás céljaihoz: lehetővé teszi a térségbe utazó turisták tartózkodási idejének növelését, továbbá hozzájárul a megye, a járás és a város turizmusára is jellemző szezonalitás csökkentéséhez. Kiemelendő továbbá, hogy a fejlesztés által időjárásfüggetlen, célcsoportspecifikus kínálati programelemek jönnek létre, melyeket interaktív bemutatási formák tesznek igazán érdekessé. A fejlesztés a Komárom-Esztergom Megye Területfejlesztési Stratégiai és Operatív Programjának turisztikai programjában meghatározott tematikus kínálatok közül az Által-ér térségi komplex turisztikai kínálat intézkedésbe (2.2.) illeszkedik. A fejlesztés eredményeképpen számos multiplikátor hatás jelentkezik. Egyrészt, a beruházás hatására a térségbe érkező turisták száma megnő, ezáltal növekszik a turisztikai szolgáltatásokra szakosodott vállalkozások bevétele. Ugyanakkor a turisták egyéb szolgáltatásokat is igénybe vesznek, termékeket vásárolnak, ezáltal hozzájárulva a többi vállalkozás bevételének növekedéséhez. A bevételek növekedésével növekszik a vállalkozások által fizetett iparűzési adó. Másrészt a növekvő turisztikai kereslet az idegenforgalmi adó révén az önkormányzat számára szintén plusz bevételi forrást jelent. A fejlesztés közvetlenül és közvetve is hozzájárul a munkahelyteremtéshez és -megőrzéshez. A fejlesztési koncepció alapján egy körbekerített, belépőjeggyel látogatható attrakció kerül kialakításra a volt Kristály fürdő (hrsz. 3305/2, 3305/4) és a Jenő-malom területén (hrsz. 3305/10). 3306/8) keresztül jut víz a malomárokba. Az épület minden helyisége a kiállítás részévé fog válni. A belső, központi helyiségben egy interaktív tér keretében a tatai malmok belső működését, munkafolyamatait lehet majd megismerni. A galéria múzeumpedagógiai foglalkozások megtartására lesz alkalmas. A Malomkertből a földszinti molnárlakásba érkezve először a szabadkéményes konyhába juthatunk. A bejárattól jobbra található helyiségben a molnárok mindennapi életéről készült ismeretterjesztő film vetítésére lesz lehetőség. Állandó kiállítási elemek lesznek egyrészt a Malomkert pergola során kitéve, másrészt a Jenő-malom helyiségeiben kialakított interaktív térben. Elsődlegesen a hazai, régión belüli, illetve kívüli vendégek alkotják a célcsoportot, másodlagosan azonban megjelennek a külföldi célcsoportok is. A fejlesztés következtében a látogatottság és a turizmusból származó bevételek növelése, a helyi turizmus időbeni és térbeli koncentráltságának csökkentése várható. (Hungarian)
