Spark cutting is a metal cutting technology where the process of controlled electric arc discharges between the electrode and the workpiece separate material particles from the workpiece. At first, there is no current between the batteries, because the dielectric works as an insulator. If the distance between the two surfaces is reduced, a spark is discharged at a certain distance (very small). During the discharge, the voltage decreases and the current causes a significant increase in temperature at the point of impact of the spark. Heat development causes small metal particles to melt and evaporate. It is one of the few metalworking technologies where the material of the tool is softer than that of the material to be worked with. The standard equipment of the machine includes a linear measuring board on both axes, a granite worktable, liquid storage tanks and an electrode clamping chuck. A beruházás keretében két különböző típusú, ezáltal különböző műszaki paraméterekkel rendelkező CNC eszterga megmunkáló központ, valamint egy úgynevezett startlyukfúró berendezés beszerzése valósulna meg. Beszerzésre kerül egy Z-MAT Flash FTL-400 CNC esztergagép és egy Z-MAT VMC 600 E típusú CNC marógép. A gépek alkalmasak bármilyen komplex szerszám megmunkálására. Automata hűtési és olajzó rendszerrel rendelkeznek. Mindkét megmunkáló központ strapabíró, kiváló merevséget biztosító hegesztett acélvázzal kerül kivitelezésre. A munkaközpontok működési elve egyszerű és működése megbízható, kiváló minőséggel, minden munkavédelmi előírásnak megfelel. A gépek főbb műszaki paramétereit a csatolt árajánlatok tartalmazzák. Az esztergálás forgástestek megmunkálására való forgácsolási eljárás. A munkadarabok tengelyek, perselyek, hüvelyek és tárcsák, vagy ezekhez hasonló alakú munkadarabok lehetnek. Az esztergálás egyélű szerszámmal, állandó keresztmetszetű forgács folyamatos leválasztásával végzett forgácsolás. Esztergáláskor a munkadarab végzi a forgácsolómozgást, a szerszám az előtolómozgást. A CNC eszterga olyan szerszámgép, amely programozható mikroszámítógépet is tartalmaz, ami a vezérlését végzi. A számítógépek alkalmazása lehetővé teszi az egyidejűleg több tengely mentén végzett és nem egyenes menti mozgásokat is, ami kézzel lehetetlen. Vezérlését alapvetően a beépített mikroszámítógép programozása, működését a felépítmény, azaz a vezérelt gép és az alkalmazott technológia határozza meg. A Toptech DD703A Startlyukfúró tulajdonképpen egy szikraforgácsoló gép, amely a kezdőfurat készítéséhez alkalmas rendkívül kemény anyagok esetében. Startlyukat lehet fúrni különböző vezető anyagokon, még félvezetőkön is, különösen rozsdamentes acélon, edzett acélon, rézen, alumíniumon és kemény ötvözeteken. A szikraforgácsolás olyan fémforgácsolási technológia, ahol az elektróda és a munkadarab között szabályozott elektromos ívkisülések folyamata választja le a munkadarabról az anyagi részecskéket. Először nem folyik áram az elemek között, mert a dielektrikum szigetelőként működik. Ha a két felület közötti távolságot lecsökkentjük, egy bizonyos (nagyon kicsi) távolságban egy szikra létrejöttével megtörténik a kisülés. A kisülés során csökken a feszültség, és az áram jelentős hőmérséklet-emelkedést okoz a szikra becsapódási helyén. A hőfejlődés hatására a kis fémrészecskék megolvadnak és elpárolognak. Azon kevés fémmegmunkálási technológiák közé tartozik, ahol a szerszám anyaga puhább, mint a vele megmunkálni kívánt anyagé. A gép alapfelszereltségéhez tartozik a lineáris mérőléc mindkét tengelyen, gránit munkaasztal, folyadéktároló tartályok és egy elektródabefogó tokmány.
