In addition, there are a development room and a hall used for acting. The cellar room has a burning furnace for the (former) ceramic class. Physical education classes take place both in the gym and in the jumbo (due to the breakdown of the group of boys and girls). From year to year, the insulation of the flat roof is a recurring problem due to wetting. Although wetting is not yet a problem every day of the year, the building is soaked in during rains, resulting in a deterioration of the quality of the roof structure of the building from time to time, including further high-risk inflows. The soaking of the roof in the classrooms results in damp, humid air, which has a particularly harmful effect on health. The specialisation of vocal-music and technology teaching in 7th and 8th grades is unresolved. The staff of the institution is 17 educators. The status of János Arany Eötvös Eötvös Elementary School of the Eötvös József Primary School of Csurgó is filled here by a teacher in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 academic years, so 17 teachers and 1 school secretary work at the school. The consolidated institution shall be managed by 1 head of institution and a head of a member institution shall be appointed in the member institution. There are inter-institutional retrainings (working communities, holding meetings, entertaining and visiting hours). Currently, 1 teacher is retraining, according to his status, he is an employee of the Eötvös József Eötvös Primary School of Csurgó. Five teachers from the institution teach to another school. A Csurgói Eötvös József Általános Iskola épülete 2 szárnyra tagolódik: az ún. „régi” épületre, (1910. szeptember 8-án szentelték fel római katolikus elemi iskolaként) és az ún. „új” épületre, melyet 1977- ben adtak át. Az intézmény épülete csak kisebb átalakításokon esett át 1991-ben, 1997-ben, 2009-ben és 2015-ben. Nyílászárók cseréje, külső, belső festés vált mára szükségessé. Mára az iskola erősen felújításra, korszerűsítésre szorul. Sürgető az elektromos vezetékek korszerűsítése, melyek kifejezetten rossz állapotban vannak, kilógnak a falból, rövidzárlatot okoznak, a konnektorok sem minősülnek biztonságosnak. Ezen túlmenően a földszinti kémia/fizika szaktanterem berendezésének, padozatának modernizálása, felújítása a tervezett cél között szerepel, mivel azok régiek, korszerűtlenek, nem elégítik ki a jelenlegi oktatási színvonal fenntartását. A terem berendezése elhasználódott, hiszen az évek alatt a rengeteg diák használata miatt megviselt, néhol megrongálódott állapotban vannak jelenleg, ami jelenleg már nem szolgálja ki maximálisan a diákok oktatását. Mindemellett az öltözők vizesblokkjának rendbetétele az alapvető higiénia fenntartásának szempontjából elsődlegesnek minősül. A tanulók rendelkezésére 9 tanterem, 2 szaktanterem áll. Ezen kívül van fejlesztő terem, és egykor színjátszásra használt terem. A pincehelyiségben égető kemence van a (volt) kerámia tanszak számára. A tornateremben és a zsibongóban is folynak testnevelés órák (fiú-lány csoportbontás miatt). Évről évre visszatérő problémát okoz a lapos tető szigetelése a beázások miatt. Bár a beázás jelenleg még nem okoz az év minden napján problémát, de esőzésekkor beázik az épület, melynek hatására az épület tetőszerkezetének minősége időről-időre romlik, ami magában foglalja a további nagyobb kockázatú beázásokat is. A tető beázása az osztálytermek esetében nyirkos, párás levegőt eredményeznek, melynek kifejezetten egészségkárosító hatásai vannak. A 2011. évi CXC. Nemzeti köznevelésről szóló törvénynek megfelelően a szakos ellátottság áttanítással és óraadókkal ellátott az iskolában. Az ének-zene és a technika tanítás szakos ellátása 7. és 8. osztályban viszonyt megoldatlan. Az intézmény személyi állománya 17 pedagógus státusz. A Csurgói Eötvös József Általános Iskola Arany János Általános Iskolájának egy státuszát a 2015/2016-os és a 2016/2017-es tanévben itt tölti be egy pedagógus, így 17 fő pedagógus és 1 fő iskolatitkár dolgozik az iskolában. Az összevont intézményt 1 intézményvezető vezeti, a tagintézményben tagintézmény-vezetőt neveznek ki. Intézmények közötti áttanítások nehezítik a munkát (munkaközösségek munkája, értekezletek megtartása, hospitálások és óralátogatások terén). Jelenleg 1 fő pedagógus végez áttanítást, ő státusz szerint a Csurgói Eötvös József Általános Iskola alkalmazottja. Az intézményből 5 pedagógus tanít át másik iskolába. Fejlesztő pedagógiai munkát végez egy óraadó pedagógus az iskolában. A rajz és vizuális kultúra tantárgy tanítását is óraadó pedagógus látja el. Az egységes intézményben egy pedagógus látja el a gyermek- és ifjúságvédelmi feladatokat. Jelen beruházással már egy sok éve húzódó problémát kíván orvosolni és megoldani az iskola intézménye. A fejlesztés céljaként értelmezhető tehát, a megfelelő környezet biztosítása a tanulók számára, mely a Csurgói Eötvös József Általános Iskola intézményét tekintve jelenleg nem oldható meg problémamentesen. A tetőszerkezet cseréjét tekintve az épület számára elkerülhetetlen a renoválás, ugyanis hosszú távon a diákok biztonságát, illetve egészségét is befolyásolhatja a sorozatos beázás, párás levegő, mely esetlegesen allergiát is kiválthat a tanulóknál. A tornateremben levő öltöző vizesblokkja nem használható, ami elengedhetetlen a testnevelés óra szempontjából és a higiéniai eszközök biztosítása érdekében is. A vezetékes hálózat cseréje kifejezetten a diákok biztonságának megőrzése érdekében nélkülözhetetlen, hiszen fennáll a veszélye annak, hogy bárki balesetet szenvedhet a korszerűtlen vezetékek és a villanykapcsolók rossz működése miatt. A földszinti fizika és kémia tantermek berendezése elhasználódott állapotban van, ami jelenleg már nem szolgálja a diákok megfelelő tanulói környezetét. PVC padlózata régi, mely esztétikai szempontból sem szép látvány, illetve a régi PVC anyagokban sokkal több a káros anyag, mint az új termékekben.
