St. Lázár County Hospital is the largest health institution in Nógrád County, whose territorial care obligation covers the whole county from the point of view of progressive care. The service capacity is 660 beds (550 active and 110 chronic), which is the 4th largest in the North Hungary region. Inpatient care takes place in 21 hospital departments. The hospital has a total of 11 operating rooms, the number of annual operations is inpatient: 7.758, outpatient: It was 7.275 in 2016. In addition, 12 intensive beds are maintained by the institution. The core activity of the hospital is inpatient care, outpatient care, screening and care. Outpatient specialisations treat 500-550,000 cases per year, 23 to 25,000 cases per inpatient, with an average of 950-1,000 patients treated on chronic beds. The hospital employs 954 people, of which 852 are civil servants and 102 are contracted. The number of doctors is 165 out of 954, of which 72 are civil servants and 93 are contracted. The infrastructure of St. Lázár County Hospital has been upgraded in the previous 2007-2013 cycle with EU funding, but the institution is constantly facing human resources problems, it is increasingly difficult to find new staff to replace the ever older medical faculty and the therapists. Nógrád has the highest average age among doctors, as young people are increasingly less attractive to the economically and socially disadvantaged county. In other words, the institution must be provided with an increasingly depleted and ageing human resources, which places a huge burden on health workers, in order to cure the population of the disadvantaged county, which is far worse than the national average. Overworking staff slows down patient care in the longer term and reduces the quality of care. The main problem is that Nógrád County’s ability to attract and retain professionals is weak, and despite the continuous vacancy notices of the Hospital, it can only partially fill the missing specialists. There are unfilled nursing and physiotherapists posts in some inpatient care departments of the hospital. By filling these posts, the institution aims to address the lack of human resources in order to ensure the continued professional and safe care of patients. The present project aims to improve the problems described above, which will create new jobs for 7 new nurses and 2 physiotherapists and finance the additional performance of 60 existing therapists with a fixed salary of HUF 30,000 per month. The reason for the planned staff increase is to reduce the workload of current medical staff by alleviating the human resources problems of St. Lázár County Hospital (filling vacancies for more than 1 year), thus giving staff more time to deal with individual patients. The overall long-term objectives of the project, in line with the health strategy and the objectives set out in the EFOP, are: • Ensure an adequate level of human resources for health to ensure the quality and safety of health services. • Ensure the uniform availability of public services by maintaining human resources in healthcare and filling the lack of personal capacity. • Provide effective health care for inpatient and outpatient care at St. Lázár County Hospital, coupled with high-quality services, whose services have equal access to all residents of the care area. The specific objectives of the project are: • Alleviate the hospital’s lack of human resources in health and increase its motivation. • Reduce the number of skills shortages by creating 7 nurses and 2 physiotherapists jobs. • Support the employment of 60 existing workers with additional performance. • Improving the quality of healthcare for hospital users by employing a new skilled workforce. • Reduce the high average age of hospital medical staff by recruiting young specialists. The project will be implemented for 24 months, with the help of a grant grant to finance the wage costs of new staff and those providing additional performance. The amount of aid required for the implementation of the project is HUF 116 529 640. After the implementation period of 2 years, the institution will have its own resources to cover staff salaries and contributions for a further 24 months. As a result of the project, the shortage of specialists in the hospital will be reduced, and the workload of the existing staff will be reduced. The situation of hospital staff and the appreciation of the workforce will improve through the retention of human resources in healthcare and the filling of missing personnel capacities. Healthcare staff will have more time to care for patients, resulting in a higher overall level of healthcare in the county. (English) | |||||||||||||||

SZENT LÁZÁR MEGYEI KÓRHÁZ

A Szent Lázár Megyei Kórház Nógrád megye legnagyobb egészségügyi intézménye, melynek területi ellátási kötelezettsége a progresszív ellátás szempontjából az egész megyét felöleli. Az orvosok száma a 954 főből 165 fő, közülük 72-en közalkalmazottak, illetve 93-an szerződéses jogviszonnyal rendelkeznek. • A kórház egészségügyi személyzete tekintetében a magas átlagos életkor csökkentése a fiatal szakdolgozók felvételével. A projekt megvalósításához szükséges támogatás összege 116.529.640 Ft. A 2 éves megvalósítási időszakot követően az intézmény további 24 hónapig saját erőből állja a munkatársak bér- és járulékköltségeit. A projekt eredményeként csökken a szakdolgozói hiány a Kórházban, kisebb lesz a meglévő dolgozók leterheltsége. Az egészségügyi ellátásban dolgozó humán erőforrás megtartásán és a hiányzó személyi kapacitások pótlásán keresztül javul a Kórház dolgozóinak helyzete, a munkaerő megbecsülése. Az egészségügyi személyzetnek több ideje lesz a betegek ellátására, aminek következtében összességében magasabb lesz az egészségügyi ellátás színvonala a megyében. (Hungarian)
