Property / summary

In Lithuania, oncological diseases rank second in the overall mortality structure and the highest mortality rate is in the working age group (45-64). In recent years, the incidence of oncological diseases is also observed. The incidence has almost doubled over the last 20 years and the standardised rate of malignancies has increased by more than 2.3-fold. One of the effective measures to increase prevention against colon, breast cancer and cervical cancers would be the establishment of the Eastern Region’s Coordination Centre for Oncological Disease Programmes (Coordination Centre), which will implement the requirements of screening methodologies and implement screening methodologies for the implementation of oncological disease programmes. The aim of the project is to create the necessary infrastructure for the Eastern Region’s oncological disease programme coordination centre in order to increase the efficiency and quality of oncological disease screening programmes and to reduce early population mortality from malignancies. Two activities are planned during the project: Repair work on premises necessary for the operation of the coordination centre; Purchase of equipment and furniture necessary for the operation of the coordination centre. In order to increase the efficiency and quality of oncological disease screening programmes and to reduce premature mortality of the population from malignant tumours, the results of the project will provide the necessary infrastructure for oncological disease programmes for the Eastern Regional Coordination Centre. Viena iš efektyvių priemonių, siekiant didinti prevenciją prieš storosios žarnos, krūties vėžio bei gimdos kaklelio vėžinius susirgimus, būtų Rytų regiono atrankinės patikros dėl onkologinių ligų programų koordinavimo centro (toliau – Koordinavimo centras) įkūrimas, kuris įgyvendins Atrankinės patikros metodikų reikalavimus ir diegs Atrankinės patikros metodikas dėl onkologinių ligų programų vykdymo. Projekto tikslas - sukurti Rytų regiono atrankinės patikros dėl onkologinių ligų programų koordinavimo centrui būtiną infrastruktūrą, siekiant padidinti atrankinės patikros dėl onkologinių ligų programų efektyvumą ir kokybę bei sumažinti ankstyvą gyventojų mirtingumą nuo piktybinių navikų. Projekto metu planuojamos dvi veiklos: Koordinavimo centro veiklai būtinų patalpų remonto darbai; Koordinavimo centro veiklai būtinos įrangos ir baldų įsigijimas. Siekiant padidinti atrankinės patikros dėl onkologinių ligų programų efektyvumą ir kokybę bei sumažinti ankstyvą gyventojų mirtingumą nuo piktybinių navikų, įgyvendinus projekto veiklas, rezultate bus sukurta atrankinės patikros dėl onkologinių ligų programų Rytų regiono Koordinavimo centrui reikalinga infrastruktūra.
