Main products manufactured by UAB “Akadas”: outdoor furniture: tables, chairs, benches, beds, swings, shelves. It is outdoor furniture that is environmentally friendly, made of FSC pine wood and painted only with professional water-based paints. All these characteristics are highly appreciated by the company’s customers and end-users. This project is being launched in order to reduce the negative environmental impact of the company during production. To this end, it is necessary to self-assess the current and planned environmental impact, to develop (renew) the company’s products throughout their life cycle, as well as to implement the environmental management system in the activity. The project was launched in order to reduce the environmental impact of the company while increasing the company’s productivity and efficiency in order to save raw materials and energy, as well as to improve the company’s image. During the project two main activities will be carried out: implementation and certification of environmental management in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001 and environmental — technological audit (activity 1) and eco-design of the products produced by the company throughout their life cycle (2 activities). Pagrindiniai UAB „Akadas“ gaminami produktai: lauko baldai: stalai, kėdės, suolai, gultai, sūpynės, lentynos. Tai lauko baldai, kurie yra aplinkai nekenksmingi, pagaminti iš FSC pušies medienos ir dažomi tik profesionaliais vandens pagrindo dažais. Visos šios savybės yra labai vertinamos įmonės klientų ir galutinių vartotojų. Šis projektas yra pradedamas norint sumažinti įmonės neigiamą poveikį aplinkai vykdant produkcijos gamybą. Tam tikslui reikalinga įsivertinti esamą ir planuojamą poveikį aplinkai, sukurti (atnaujinti) įmonės gaminius per visą jų būvio ciklą, taip pat įsidiegti veikloje aplinkosaugos vadybos sistemą. Projektas pradėtas siekiant sumažinti įmonės sukeliamą poveikį aplinkai tuo pačiu padidinant įmonės produktyvumą ir efektyvumą, siekiant sutaupyti žaliavų ir energijos, taip pat pagerinti įmonės įvaizdį. Projekto metu bus vykdomos dvi pagrindinės veiklos – diegiama ir sertifikuojama aplinkos apsaugos vadybos pagal tarptautinio standarto ISO 14001 reikalavimus bei atliekamas aplinkosaugos - technologinis auditas (1 veikla) ir įmonės gaminamų gaminių ekologinis projektavimas per visą jų gyvavimo ciklą (2 veikla).
