The project aims to contribute to the development of the Social Housing Fund of Ignalina District Municipality. 21 social housing in Ignalina and Dūkšt towns, Strigailiškis and Vidiškiai villages will be purchased during the project implementation. Of the planned number of dwellings purchased, two apartments are intended to be adapted for people with disabilities. These 2 dwellings will be equipped with equipment for people with reduced mobility — folding shower chairs. All dwellings will be equipped with stoves (with ovens). The project is expected to improve access to housing for families and people entitled to social housing, improve their quality of life and their integration into the labour market. Projektu siekiama prisidėti prie Ignalinos rajono savivaldybės socialinio būsto fondo plėtros. Projekto įgyvendinimo metu bus įsigyta 21 socialinis būstas Ignalinos ir Dūkšto miestuose, Strigailiškio ir Vidiškių kaimuose. Iš planuojamų įsigytų būstų skaičiaus, du butus numatoma pritaikyti neįgaliesiems. Minėti 2 būstai bus aprūpinti įranga, skirta judėjimo negalią turintiems asmenims - atlenkiamomis dušo kėdutėmis. Visi būstai bus aprūpinti viryklėmis (su orkaitėmis). Tikimasi, kad įgyvendinus projektą padidės galimybės apsirūpinti būstu šeimoms ir asmenims, turintiems teisę į socialinį būstą, pagerės minėtų asmenų gyvenimo kokybė, integracija į darbo rinką.
