Property / summary

The Klup (www.deklupgouda.nl) offers, with volunteers, leisure activities for people with intellectual disabilities. External developments affect organisation and employees: project-based financing instead of municipal lumpsum grants, budget cuts, broadening client target group (vulnerable citizens) and the requirement to offer more activities with less resources. In addition, the practice of employees requires a more coaching institution that helps volunteers to organise themselves. Current organisation and way of working no longer fit what the future of employees demands: in a more flexible working culture, employees need to position themselves differently and fill in their work/role differently, requiring a project/business execution of De Klup’s activities. This requires more entrepreneurship in their work. The Klup notes that employees are unable to cope with this, leading to uncertainty and stress. The Klup, who wants to promote employability sustainably, sees the solution in facilitating employees in shaping the new role so that they can carry out their work effectively and with more pleasure/less stress with more ownership. To this end, we want to create a climate in which workers develop their changeability with the aim of enabling them to take on their professional responsibilities and: — to fulfil their role in the service of volunteering — to carry out their work with an eye for profitability (required clients) more commercially — using existing talents and the right skills to continue to carry out their work well-being workers and staff.
