Vleems Food is a company that specialises in packaging. We started in Nieuw-Amsterdam more than 30 years ago as a local supplier of sandwiches. Since the foundation of our company, our cool fresh and frozen range of products has been expanded to both the retail channel and the food service market. Together with customers, we work on sustainable concepts for the bread convenience market. The company has its own factory where in a number of production lines the products are assembled and packaged. The management has taken the step to participate in the project Sustainable Employability in SMEs carried out by the Association Parkmanagement Business Parks in Emmen. This research has shown that there is room for improvement with both the physical and mental stress of the employees. Vleems Food is een bedrijf dat zich heeft gespecialiseerd in het verpakken van. Wij zijn ruim 30 jaar geleden begonnen in Nieuw-Amsterdam als locale leverancier van belegde broodjes. Sinds de oprichting van ons bedrijf is onze koelverse en diepgevroren aanbod aan producten uitgebreid naar zowel het retailkanaal als de foodservice markt. Samen met klanten werken wij aan duurzame concepten voor de brood convenience markt. Het bedrijf heeft zijn eigen fabriek waar in een aantal productielijnen de producten worden samengesteld en verpakt. De directie heeft de stap gezet om deel te nemen in het project Duurzame Inzetbaarheid in het MKB dat is uitgevoerd vanuit de Vereniging Parkmanagement Bedrijventerreinen in Emmen. Vanuit dit onderzoek is naar voren gekomen dat met zowel de fysieke als mentale belasting van de medewerkers voor verbetering vatbaar is. Een aantal aanknopingspunten uit het onderzoek zullen worden gebruikt om samen met een adviseur te onderzoeken welke stappen concreet kunnen worden gezet ten aanzien van gezond en veilig werken.
