Property / summary

Hendriks Bloemen operates a chain of 18 flower shops in South Limburg from the head office/warehouse located in Geleen. Daily flowers and plants are purchased in the very early morning in the Westland and transported to our distribution centre in Geleen where the products find their way to the shops via an efficient processing system. Hendriks currently employs 125 predominantly young employees who often work part-time. The relatively large number of employees working part-time in combination with the many branches that are managed from the head office requires good coordination in the transfer of work between employees and between management and employees. In addition, there are usually only 2 people at the same time per location (the shops) who operate under high working pressure. Hendriks also considers good employership important and wants to encourage employees to take responsibility for their own learning and growth path, while also being aware that the organisation of the work has an impact on engagement and productivity. In 2018/19 we will work on sustainable employability in the field of learning culture and positive communication. (English)

(Dutch)
