Schouten hecht veel waarde aan haar personeel. Om hen duurzaam inzetbaar te houden, laat Schouten in samenwerking met een externe adviseur het project “Duurzame inzetbaarheid, gewoon Doen” uitvoeren. De medewerkers leren feedback geven en ontvangen, waardoor de werksfeer verbeterd en de werkstress verlaagd wordt. Tevens krijgen de medewerkers tijdens het project handvatten aangereikt om op een effectieve manier kennis op te doen. Alleen medewerkers die zich blijven ontwikkelen zullen in de toekomst duurzaam inzetbaar blijven. Op deze manier creëert Schouten een cultuur om de duurzame inzetbaarheid te garanderen.
