At the VU, 4400 employees work every day on the three core tasks of the VU: doing scientific research, providing scientific education and making scientific knowledge of value for society. These are tasks that involve a lot of demands and the workload is therefore high. With co-financing of the ESF, we ensure that we better understand what employees get energy from, how vital they feel and how we can do something about it as an employer. At the same time, employees themselves are director of their own health, motivation and work pleasure and we want to help employees to take steps in this matter through a vitality scan. Bij de VU werken 4400 medewerkers iedere dag aan de drie kerntaken van de VU: wetenschappelijk onderzoek doen, wetenschappelijk onderwijs verzorgen en wetenschappelijke kennis van waarde maken voor de samenleving. Dat zijn taken die veel eisen met zich meebrengen en de werkdruk is dan ook hoog. Met co-financiering van het ESF zorgen we ervoor dat beter inzicht krijgen in waar medewerkers energie van krijgen, hoe vitaal ze zich voelen en hoe we daar als werkgever iets aan kunnen doen. Tegelijkertijd zijn medewerkers zelf regisseur van hun eigen gezondheid, motivatie en werkplezier en willen we door middel van een vitaliteitsscan medewerkers concreet helpen om hier stappen op te ondernemen. Als VU willen we dat onze medewerkers iedere dag gezond en met plezier naar hun werk gaan, en mede dankzij het ESF project kunnen we dit waarmaken. (Dutch)
