The project Learning square Hammarkullen aims to create long-term collaboration at Hammarkulletorget between different types of educational organizations, the employment agency, other government agencies and employers to facilitate that women and men from Northeast of Gothenburg, who are far from the labor market are approaching it - either through education, employment, internship or by starting their own business. The project has three phases - an analysis and planning phase, an implementation phase and a closure phase. The analysis and planning phase aims to rig the project organization where all project partners are included, by employing relevant persons needed for the implementation of the project. During the phase, a detailed project plan will be developed, which clarifies the roles and responsibilities in the project so that the project team and steering committee are aware of the distinctions. The project plan must also include a detailed plan of the project activities where specific indicators are set up to measure the implementation of the different targets. The implementation phase is aimed at interpreting the knowledge built up during the planning and analysis phase of the different partner organizations and to improve and create a structure for cooperation between the actors involved in the project. During this phase, the project's three sub targets will be achieved. 3 sub targets/milestones Sub target 1: Strengthened cooperation platform between education, governmental organizations and employers/enterprises that lead to improved contacts with employers, and that women and men have equal opportunities and conditions as regards to education and paid labor. Sub target 2: Improved visibility and accessibility of the education chain and working life, and equal pilotage of women and men within the same Sub target 3: More relevant, qualitative and equal education and training supply as well as employment assistance for men and women outside the labor market The activities of the project both relates to a need to develop and implement new forms of collaboration, conduct case studies that reveals bottlenecks and differences in approaches and assignments between the various participating organizations. The project will also have a project team that beyond a project manager, project administrator and a common resource for the project actors localized at the square, also will include a function of a learning pilot on site in Hammarkullen who will work towards residents and pilot people further in the education system. The pilot must simultaneously also be outgoing and invite employers to cooperation. The project team also includes an employee from the Public Employment Service in Angered, whose task is to be in place at Hammarkulletorget and in collaboration with various stakeholders/employers work to find forms of cooperation needed to meet the skills needs of the employers and to facilitate matching between jobseekers and employers. The project will also establish a user council and an employer council to investigate what needs and interests the residents in Hammarkullen and Angered have regarding education and labor market, but also to investigate the knowledge and skills needs of businesses and the future labor market, in order to better adapt programs and interventions. The project's final three months are devoted to a closure phase. The closure phase primarily aims to evaluate the project - its overall objective and the three sub targets, and examine whether the set targets have been achieved by measuring the indicators, and also to measure the potential to achieve the intended effects. An important focus throughout the project is the sustainability of the project, i.e. what can be further developed and what can be implemented after the project is finished. The intention is that the new forms of cooperation will be enduring. Hence, is important to continously carry out preparatory work for the implementation of the results after the project has been finalized. A final conference will also be conducted where the project results are presented and where a large number of stakeholders from the education sector, government agencies and employers, have been invited. The different actors involved in the collaboration is Business Region Göteborg (project owner/applicant), the Community Center in Hammarkullen, the Folk high school in Angered, the Public Employment Service in Angered, the Centre for Urban Studies (Department of Social Work), Chalmers (Department of Architecture), the Upper Secondary School of Angered, the City district of Angered (Social welfare and Employment, Citizens’ Advice Bureau, the Library in Hammarkullen) and GöteborgsLokaler, that manages commercial space for retail, office and municipal activities, among others at the square of Hammarkullen.
