Bij Nusantara Zorg is een stukje Indonesië in Nederland te vinden en is een cultuurspecifieke zorginstelling. Nusantara levert op drie manieren zorg in Almere, Bussum en Ugchelen: 1) Zorg thuis 2) zorg op woonzorglocaties 3) zorg via ZENI: (oftewel een multidisciplinair team van specialisten dat er op gericht is om cultuurspecifieke zorgvragen te beantwoorden). Er werken 215 medewerkers bij Nusantara en 200 vrijwilligers zijn actief. Om toekomstbestendig te worden kiest Nusantara voor persoonsgerichte zorg en ondersteuning. Dit vergt een andere manier van werken door de medewerkers. Met dit traject wordt niet gekeken naar het proces van invoeren van persoonsgerichte benadering, maar ligt de nadruk op het anders organiseren van werk van de medewerkers, zowel individueel als in teamverband en voor diverse disciplines door de organisatie heen.
