Property / summary

The Activa foundation is currently running an IPS project, in which the target group is persons with psychiatric diagnosis who have contact with the psychiatric health care. The results in this project are very good. Over 50% of the participants move on to employment or education. During this time we have found that there are some things that need more attention. By continuing to work with a new target group, persons with neuropsychiatric diagnoses (NPF), we can develop and adjust the method even better. We also need to continuing to adjust the method to Swedish conditions. We would also like to add more social support and support to keep a job or stay in school. Persons with NPF-diagnoses have a higher risk of developing psychiatric problems that decrease their possibilties to find and keep a job or to complete un education. In this target group, the unemployment rate is over 60%. By giving the proper support with the IPS method, the project can contribute so that this group can find and keep a job. The goal for the project is to give support to 60 participants during the project time. The aim is also to develop and adjust the method to this target group and to develop and give social support and support to keep a job or to manage to complete an education. To be successful in this, a collaboration with several partners from autorithies to civil society is necessary. The aim is to create and develop a better cooperation between the organisations. The needs of the participants are the most important. If the project is successful, the method can be implemented in one or several organisations and a good cooperation with the civil society has been established. The main goal is that in the end of the project, many of the participants have found a job, started an education or have gained valuable experience which gives them a better position on the labour market.
