Železniční trať Nymburk - Mladá Boleslav hl.n. (číslo trati 071, dle číslování jízdních řádů) je součástí celostátní dráhy a slouží osobní i nákladní železniční dopravě. Cílem stavby je zvýšení kapacity jedné z nejvíce zatížených jednokolejných tratí na území ČR. Hlavním smyslem stavby je reagovat především na zvýšenou poptávku po přepravách automobilů, která již v dnešním rozsahu trať z hlediska propustnosti výrazně zatěžuje. (Czech)
