The aim of the project is to develop an apprenticeship program for adults with mild intellectual disabilities in Örebro County. The courses/training currently offered are either poorly adapted to the target group's special needs or lack connection to working life. Project owner is the Activa Foundation and the project is carried out in collaboration primarily between the county's municipalities, Örebro County Council, the Employment Service and a number of employers. The project is based on a structured collaboration between adult education bodies in the county, which makes it possible to adapt courses/training to local needs, to offer the apprenticeship program throughout the county and to be cost-effective, as the municipalities can pool resources for teachers, material, method development, etc. (Swedish)
