The project responds to Directive 2010/31/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, which mandates the reduction of energy consumption and the use of renewable energy sources. The project aims at developing an autonomous energy hub to enable heating, ventilation, cooling and hot water heating in all types of buildings, with primary requirements for the use of renewable resources, in particular with a view to a new generation of nearly zero energy buildings.
