Organic Flavour Company (OFC) is a processor of organic herbs, spices and tea. The company has been in a growth market for years. Nevertheless, the organisation has been drastically reduced due to circumstances in recent years. The result is an organisation in which the average age of employees is well over 40 years. In addition, the middle management has disappeared from the organisation and there is a very flat organisation. This requires independence and entrepreneurship of all employees. This requires a learning culture and safety to take responsibility and carry it with each other. If that is achieved, employees will experience less stress. After all, each employee has an influence on his own way of working and his environment. OFC has the desire to take a first step in creating a learning culture in the organisation and stimulating ownership of employees through ESF grants. The practical form chosen is to redesign the quality management of the organisation by rewriting the quality manual. This time with and by the employees in the organisation. The project ensures that the slightly older workforce is trained to meet the current quality requirements in food companies. In addition, it aims to activate those employees to bring in their own extensive knowledge and experience and to work together to create a well-run organisation. Ownership and entrepreneurship will ultimately lead to a self-directing organisation with relevant staff. It will ensure continuity in the workforce and thus ensure continuity of the company.

(Italian)
