Property / summary

The pandemic has negatively affected the vast majority of companies and SMEs have been hit harder than the larger ones. The Digistad Örnsköldsvik project is a response to the current situation and aims to support companies’ digital transformation and strengthen the opportunity for city companies to recover after the pandemic. The initiative is a joint initiative from the municipality of Örnsköldsvik together with the center development organisation Cesam (Centrumlift in Örnsköldsvik AB) and is carried out in cooperation with the property owners. The project is on two activity legs: 1. Digital piloting for companies and 2. Develop the city’s digital solutions. The project’s primary target group is companies that are interested in harnessing the opportunities of digitalisation for a sustainable transition and a faster recovery through new business opportunities or efficiency improvements. In the selection of companies, priority is given to industries particularly affected by the pandemic. The project will lead to companies strengthening their ability to adapt and to better respond to the effects of the crisis. At the end of the project, the companies have increased digital maturity and there is a better understanding of how digitalisation can contribute to increased competitiveness and a more long-term sustainable business model. The companies that have received digital pilotage will also have developed some concrete digitisation initiatives and a plan for their realisation, so that the step from insight to action is a natural consequence of the project. By the end of the project, it is also expected to have contributed to the city’s digital solutions taking a leap in their development and that these continue to strengthen companies’ ability to recover. After the project period, the experience of the new hybrid solutions tested and the work on digital arrangement stimulation will lead the city’s collaborative organisations and companies to continue to drive innovation and test new jointly (English)
