Ready for diversity
Property / summary

At the heart of the “Ready for Diversity” project is a model of professional qualification and support for educational professionals, which ensures that every pupil and his/her family are involved, respected and valued in a shared process of achieving educational goals. The model starts with an assessment and analysis of the current capacity and resources to work in a multicultural environment, on the basis of which each educational institution will be able to plan its future activities to improve the competences of its specialists to work effectively in a diverse environment. Such a cycle of review and planning becomes an integral part of the institution’s work and allows monitoring progress, regular updating of the steps to the desired outcome and continuous improvement of educational practices. Next, the model offers three interconnected trainings. The first event focuses on the competences of teachers themselves, their individual role and importance in maintaining an educational environment in which diversity is seen as a valuable resource and perspective in which the entire learning process is broken. During the second training, the focus is on the whole community of professionals, because diversity is not an isolated phenomenon only in the classroom or classroom — it is a feature of the entire educational establishment and is reflected in both the physical environment and the learning process and the relationships between all those involved in it. The focus of the final training for pedagogical specialists and other experts is on coordinating and implementing a framework of quality indicators in key areas of pedagogical practice (pedagogical approaches, family and community, professional development) through the prism of diversity and inclusion.
