In Fishing Territory "High Western Rhodopes: Batak — Devin — Dospat’s total water areas are 4 792 ha, or 3.12 % of the total area. The territory is characterised by a high concentration of dams (10 dams, some of which are among the largest in Bulgaria) and rivers with suitable conditions for the development of aquaculture and for the development of recreational fishing. A significant part of the fisheries area falls within Natura 2000 protected areas and sites. This requires the application of special measures and careful use of the potential offered by these territories. Among the development needs of the fisheries territory identified in the FLAG Strategy is “Improving the attractiveness of the territory for attracting tourist interest and improving the quality of the tourism offer” and “Development of fishing opportunities with significant added value for the territory”. This project proposal focuses these identified needs through the inclusion of several main activities:- Construction of an exhibition fishing centre in Devin. The establishment of the center includes reconstructing and repairing an existing building, furnishing and equipping two halls — information and exhibition, displaying models of the ichtiological richness of the area. The building is owned by Devin Hunting and Fishery Company, the project owner. — Development of a mobile information application for the benefit of fishing communities. A key activity that will promote the opportunities for fishing tourism in the territory will offer routes and conditions for fishing tourism in accordance with environmental parameters and norms. The project as a whole will contribute to the development of the fisheries territory as an attractive destination for fishing tourism and specifically for fishing (Balkan) trout, offering consumer-oriented tourist services with high added value as part of integrated eco-tourist products. В Рибарска територия „Високи Западни Родопи: Батак – Девин - Доспат” общо водните площи са 4792 ха, или 3.12% от общата територия. Tериторията се характеризира с висока концентрация на язовири (10 язовира, някои от които са сред най-големите в България) и реки с подходящи условия за развитие на аквакултури и за развитие на любителски риболов. Значителна част от рибарската територия попада в защитени зони и територии по Натура 2000. Това налага прилагането на специални мерки и внимателно използване на потенциала, които тези територии дават. Сред потребностите за развитие на рибарската територия, индентифицирани в Стратегията на МИРГ е и "Подобряване на атрактивността на територията за привличане на туристически интерес и подобряване на качеството на туристическото предлагане" и "Развитие на възможности за риболовен туризъм със значима добавена стойност за територията". Настоящето проектно предложение фокусира тези идентифицирани потребности, посредством включването на няколко основни дейности:- Изграждане на експозиционен рибарски център в гр.Девин. Създаването на центъра включва извършване на преустройство и ремонт на съществуваща сграда, обзавеждане и оборудване на две зали - обучително информационна и експозиционна, експониране на макети от ихтиологичното богатство на района. Сградата е собственост на Ловно-рибарско дружество Девин - приносител на проекта. - Разработване на мобилно информационно приложение за предоставяне на информация в полза на рибарските общности. Ключова дейност, която ще популяризира възможностите за риболовен туризъм на територията, ще предложи маршрути и условия за риболовен туризъм при параметри и норми щадящи околната среда. Проектът като цяло ще допринесе за развитието на рибарската територия, като атрактивна дестинация за риболовен туризъм и специално за улов на (балканска) пъстърва, предлагаща ориентирани към потребителите туристически услуги с висока добавена стойност, като част от интегрирани еко-туристически продукти.
