RENOVATION OF THE DANUBE PARK IN THE TOWN OF LOM
Property / summary

The modern city is characterised by a dynamically changing environment, expansion or renewal of urban infrastructure, with increasing attention being paid to the benefits of creating working and resting conditions, which also actively involve nature, through the construction and/or renovation of more parks, gardens and green spaces in the urban environment. Physical renovation and public works create an attractive urban environment, provide favourable conditions and contribute to improving the quality of life. Urban regeneration attracts future investments and generally leads to further development and competitiveness not only of the Lom city centre, but also in the adjacent territories of the municipality. The project proposal provides for the renovation of the Danube park in the town of Lom, through dismantling of unfit old gaming facilities, which are not subject to ongoing repair and do not meet the requirements for safe play conditions, delivery and installation of new children’s facilities for different age groups of children and young people, equipment with the required number of benches and bins for household waste, laying of new floors at the designated places, in accordance with the requirements of Regulation No 1 of 12 January 2009 of the MRDPW on the terms and procedure for the construction and safety of playgrounds. To overcome the social exclusion of children and young people with disabilities, a combined child facility will be delivered and installed for children with special needs. This will improve their physical condition and contribute to their social inclusion. (English)
