Reinforcement of landslides in quarter Boruna, town of Lom
Property / summary

On the basis of the engineering-geological and hydrological report, an investment project was drawn up, which together with the development plans was financed by the municipality of Lom. The project envisages the construction of a site: ‘STRENGTHENING OF PERIODIC ACTIVE LANDSLIDES WITH IDENTIFICATION NO MON 24,44238.92.01 AND ITS COMPOSITE PERIODIC ACTIVE LANDSLIDES OF MON 24,44238,92,01,01 AND MON 24,44238.92.01.02 REGISTERED IN Boruna — GR. LOM", including the implementation of all management activities, including preparation of public procurement documentation, as well as construction and copyright supervision and information and communication measures. Construction works are planned to lower the level of groundwater, as well as construction of a retaining wall along the coastline of the neighborhood, with a height of 5.2 m and a length of 850 m. The wall will be fed upon pilots F1200, anchored to the skateboard. To lower the water level in the body of landslides, there are 2 drainage ribs. Drainage rib No 1, which has a length of 436 m and a depth of 2 to 3.5 m, starts above Perushtitsa Street and descends on the shore of the Danube River. Drainage rib No 2, which is 885.48 m long and depth from 2 m to 4 m, starts above the landslide rash, walks along the bottom of an existing gullet and on Gurgulyat Street discharges into the Danube. There are also 2 deep drains (wells) with a diameter of 6 m each, equipped with 8 radially incorporated horizontal drilling drains (HSDs) 70 m each for collecting the drainage water. To remove the water collected in the drainage shafts, for each of them there is a flow (leak) to the Danube river, from metal pipes. After implementation of the construction works, the existing monitoring system (CIS) of the landslides will be expanded by building 20 control tracks on the newly built retaining wall, one new supporting point for observation (re) and construction of 4 inclinometers.
