The Etar Regional Ethnographic Museum (REMO “Etar”) has the status of immovable cultural property of the category “national importance”. Remo “Etar” is the first open-air ethnographic museum in Bulgaria and opened its doors on September 7, 1964. REMO “Etar” is a group tourist site characterised by diversity, uniqueness and authenticity as a result of the individual sites covered by it. This project covers a complex of investment and marketing activities aimed at the development of REMO “Etar”, diversification of the tourist product and its transformation into a living museum, providing the opportunity for exercise of non-seasonal but permanent active cultural tourism. All activities planned in the framework of the project implementation are aimed directly at overcoming the challenges to the sustainable development of REMO “Etar”, related to the need for conservation, conservation and restoration of the sites covered within the museum complex, as well as due to inefficient utilisation of their areas, the lack of modern conditions and equipment for the purpose of diversification of the tourist product, the lack of effective interactive information tools and programs with the potential to attract more and more diverse audiences, the project covers a comprehensive solution, both for the conservation and preservation of REMO “Etar”, as a group tourist site, and for the effective promotion of the museum. Регионален етнографски музей на открито “Етър” (РЕМО "Етър") притежава статут на недвижима културна ценност на категория “национално значение”. РЕМО „Етър” е първият етнографски музей на открито в България и отваря врати на 7 септември 1964 г. РЕМО „Етър“ е групов туристически обект, характеризиращ се с многообразие, уникалност и автентичност в следствие на обхванатите в неговите рамки отделни обекти.Настоящият проект обхваща комплекс от инвестиционни и маркетингови дейности, насочени към развитие на РЕМО “Етър”, диверсификация на туристическия продукт и превръщането му в жив музей, предоставящ възможност за упражняване на несезонен, а постоянен активен културен туризъм. Всички, планирани в рамките на проектната реализация дейности, са насочени пряко към преодоляване на предизвикателствата пред устойчивото развитие на РЕМО “Етър”, свързани с необходимостта от опазване, консервация и реставрация на обхванатите в рамките на музейния комплекс обекти, както и породени от неефективно оползотворяване на техните площи, липсата на съвременни условия и оборудване за целите на диверсификацията на туристическия продукт, липсата на ефективни интерактивни информационни средства и програми с потенциал за привличане на по-голям брой и разнообразни публики, в т.ч. и хора в неравностойно положение.Проектът обхваща цялостно решение, както за целите на консервацията и опазването на РЕМО “Етър”, в качеството му на групов туристически обект, така и за ефективното популяризиране на музея.
