Care and support for independent living in Krumovgrad Municipality
Property / summary

The project “Care and Support for Independent Living in Krumovgrad Municipality” aims to improve the quality of life and access to social inclusion services in response to the complex needs, including health of people with disabilities and people over 65 years old, incapable of self-service in order to overcome the consequences of social exclusion and poverty. People from the target group will have the opportunity to choose the desired and necessary service for them according to their specific needs based on an individual assessment of their needs. The project will provide integrated services for people with inability to self-service and for people with disabilities, combining complex actions to provide long-term care, including social and health services. This will provide employment for unemployed people of working age and, on the other hand, enable people with disabilities to use different services according to their needs. To ensure the integrated approach of services, staff will include experts with different competence profiles: personal assistants, domestic workers, social worker, psychologist and nurse. This project will build on the good results achieved under the scheme “Independent Life”, “Home Assistance”, “Alternatives” scheme and other measures financed under the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development” 2007-2013, as well as the procedure “New alternatives”, funded by Operational Programme “Human Resources Development” 2014-2020 through the implementation of a wider scope and range of activities towards the provision of integrated social-health services and others, according to the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities.
