The project “Increasing the Effectiveness of the Policy on Public Health Protection” aims to improve the specialised knowledge and skills of the officials of the Regional Health Inspectorates and the National Centre for Radiobiology and Radiation Protection in the exercise of state health control and promotion and prevention of diseases on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. Protecting the health of citizens is a national priority and is guaranteed by the state through the implementation of various policies, including control over citizens’ health protection activities and state health control. This project will use one of the ways to increase the effectiveness of state health control, namely: improving the skills and knowledge of state health inspectors by conducting specialised trainings. Within the framework of the planned trainings, best practices, changes in European and national legislation will be presented, as well as practical trainings for working with information systems of the European Commission, application of methods for determination of immunisation coverage, analysis of explosions, advanced training for HIV testing and counselling, increasing knowledge on prevention and control of tuberculosis and organising information campaigns, enhancing the competence of experts in counseling on motivation and quitting smoking, limiting the health risk of alcohol abuse etc. For an 18-month implementation period with a budget of 199 999, 80 BGN in 18 courses, the Ministry of Health will train 606 public health specialists from RZI and NCRRP.     Проект "Повишаване ефективността на провежданата политика по опазване на общественото здраве" цели подобряване на специализираните знания и умения на служителите от регионалните здравни инспекции и Националния център по радиобиология и радиационна защита при упражняването на държавен здравен контрол и промоция и профилактика на болестите на територията на Р България. Опазването на здравето на гражданите е национален приоритет и се гарантира от държавата чрез прилагане на различни политики, в т.ч. контрол върху дейностите по опазване здравето на гражданите и държавен здравен контрол. Този проект ще използва един от начините за повишаване на ефективността на държавния здравен контрол, а именно: подобряване на уменията и знанията на държавните здравни инспектори чрез провеждането на специализирани обучения. В рамките на планираните обучения, ще бъдат представени най-добрите практики, настъпилите изменения в европейското и националното законодателство, както и ще бъдат проведени практически обучения за работа с информационни системи на Европейската комисия, прилагане на методи за определяне на имунизационно покритие, анализ на взривове, надграждащо обучение за провеждане на изследване и консултиране за ХИВ, повишаване на знанията за превенцията и контрола на туберкулозата и организиране на информационни кампании, повишаване компетентността на експертите в консултирането за мотивиране и отказването от тютюнопушенето, ограничаване на здравния риск от злоупотребата с алкохол и др. За 18 месечен период на изпълнение с бюджет 199 999, 80 лева в 18 курса, Министерство на здравеопазването ще обучи 606 специалисти по обществено здраве от РЗИ и НЦРРЗ. (Bulgarian)
