Projekt je zaměřen na vysoce aktuální problematiku výzkumu a vývoje progresivních systémů včasného varování dosažených kritických stavů ohrožujících bezpečnost a stabilitu objektů, včetně řešení sanačních opatření na eliminaci vzniklého nebezpečí. Tento problém je dán radikálním stárnutím inženýrských sítí, konstrukcí stavebních objektů a důsledkem erozivních vlivů zemního a horninového prostředí.
