Diagnoosina Nuoruus, nuorten työelämä- ja koulutusvalmiuksien vahvistamisen ryhmätoimintaHankkeen tavoitteena on nuorten ja nuorten aikuisten, alle 29-vuotiaiden, työelämän ja koulutuksen ulkopuolella olevien työelämä- ja koulutusvalmiuksien vahvistaminen. Vertaisryhmätoiminnan avulla, sosiaalisen vahvistamisen keinoja käyttäen, tiiviissä yhteistyössä etsivän nuorisotyön kanssa. On suuri ja yhä kasvava joukko nuoria, joille ei löydy palvelua olemassa olevasta palveluverkostosta. Etsivän työn työntekijöille ohjataan jatkuvasti palveluista nuoria, koska ei kyetä löytämään heille sopivaa palvelua. Näin ei kuitenkaan saisi olla, vaan etsivän työn tehtävänä on ohjata nuoria palvelujen pariin, mutta usein etsivä työ on ainoa palvelu johon nämä nuoret voivat sitoutua. Useinkaan näillä nuorilla ei ole taustallaan päihdeongelmaa, eikä myöskään diagnosoitua mielenterveysongelmaa. Tämä ei tarkoita, etteikö ongelmaa taustalla voisi olla vaan, että nuorta ei ole syystä tai toisesta saatu esim. tutkimusajoille.Etsivä työ toimiikin nyt haettavassa palvelussa tiiviissä yhteistyössä. Etsivä työ on mukana asiakasohjauksessa, yhdessä asikuissosiaalityön, tutkimus- ja kuntoutusyksikön sekä mielenterveyspalveluiden kanssa. Etsivä työ on myös mukana yksilöllisten asiakspolkujen suunnittelussa niiden asiakkaiden osalta, joilla on kenties jo pitkäkin asiakuus etsivään työhön. Asiakkuus on saattanut kestää useita vuosia, juuri siitä syystä, ettei heille ole kyetty löytämään sopivaa ja eteenpäin vievää palvelua.Etsivät eivät kuitenkaan toimi ryhmätoiminnan varsinaisina ohjaajina, vaan hankerahoituksella onkin tarkoitus palkata ryhmtätoiminnan ohjaajat, muta he voivat olla tietyssä määrin mukana ryhmän toiminnassa, varmistaen näin nuoren kiinnittymisen palveluun. Palvelu on siis työkalu myös etsivälle työlle. Ryhmän ohjaajien tärkeimmät työkalut ovatkin kiireettömyys, nuorelle on riittävästi aikaa, oikeanlainen kohtaaminen (Minä ja Hän), nuoren tarpeisiin reagointi sekä tunnereaktioihin vastaaminen. Tärkeää on myös ryhmä ja ryhmän tuki toinen toisilleen, mutta myös yksilöllinen ohjaaminen. Ryhmä kokoontuu 3-4 päivänä viikossa. Ohjelma suunnitellaan ennakkoon suhteellisen tarkkaan, ryhmän koostumus, tarpeet ja jossakin määrin myös toiveet huomioon ottaen. Ohjelma on pitkälti strukturoitu ja se on myös ryhmäläisten tiedossa. Hankkeen ja palvelun tuloksena siihen osallistuneiden nuorten työelämä- ja koulutusvalmiudet ovat parantuneet. Palvelujakson jälkeen nuoret ohjataan etsivän työn työntekijöiden sekä ryhmätoiminnanohjajjien toimesta siihen palveluun, koulutukseen tai työelämään, mikä kunkin nuoren kohdalla katsotaan parhaimmaksi. Koska hankkeeseen osallistuvat nuoret ovat suurelta osin nk. kovaa ydintä, ei työhön sijoittuminen suoraanhankejakson jälkeen ole kovinkaan monen kohdalla todennäköistä. (Finnish)

Diagnosis of Youth, Group Action on strengthening young people’s working life and education capacities The aim of the project is to strengthen the working life and education capacity of young people and young adults, under 29 years of age, NEETs. Through peer-to-peer activities, using social consolidation tools, in close cooperation with outreach youth work. There is a large and growing number of young people who are not able to find a service in an existing network of services. The employees of the detective work are constantly guided by the services of young people, because they are unable to find the right service for them. However, this should not be the case, but the task of outreach work is to guide young people to services, but in many cases detective work is the only service that these young people can commit to. Often, these young people do not have a substance abuse problem, nor a diagnosed mental health problem. This does not mean that the problem cannot be the cause of the problem, but that the young person, for one reason or another, has not been given access to, for example, research time. The detective work is involved in customer guidance, together with social work for adults, the research and rehabilitation unit and mental health services. The detective work is also involved in the design of individual case paths for those customers who may already have a long experience in detective work. The customer relationship may have lasted for several years, precisely because it was not possible to find a suitable and forward-looking service for them. However, they did not act as directers of group activities, but the purpose of project funding is to hire group instructors, but they may be involved to a certain extent in the activities of the group, thus ensuring that a young person is attached to the service. So the service is also a tool for detective work. The main tools of the group leaders are not hasty, there is enough time for the young person, the right kind of encounter (I and He), the response to the young person’s needs, and the response to emotional reactions. It is also important for the group and the group to support each other, but also for individual guidance. The group will meet 3-4 days a week. The programme will be designed in a relatively precise way, taking into account the composition of the group, its needs and, to some extent, its wishes. The programme is largely structured and is also known to the group. As a result of the project and service, the working life and training capacities of the young people involved have improved. After the placement, young people are redirected to the service, education or working life, which is considered the best for each young person, by the employees of the searching job and by the group counsellors. Since the young people participating in the project are, to a large extent, the so-called ‘hard core’, it is unlikely that many people will be placed in employment directly after the project period.
